If you are having thoughts, doubts, concerns, etc. about backing up your website files, database (all data), there is really nothing to think about. The answer is a hell yes. On this past Wednesday morning, approximately at 1:00am EST, my server crashed. Luckily the data was still on the server. The issue was that the operating system wouldn’t start. After two days of work.. the data was migrated to a new server. Luckily, all of it was saved because I did not have any sort of backup what-so-ever.. for any of my 75+ sites!! Now I have learned my lesson and am going to backup the database at least 2-3 times per week and will backup my website files whenever any sort of change is made to them. This will make the restore process quicker and not having to rely on your web host to save everything in case of a server issue like I had.

I’m still going through sites and finding bugs and issues and having to fix them. Not everything is the same on this server from my last so its taking a little time to make sure everything is correct.

Just please take my advice and backup your sites at least on a weekly basis. Having something a week old is better than not having anything at all! If you can back it up daily, that’s even better. Who knows what will happen to your server / webhost.

From shared to VPS to dedicated to reseller, you can read all about Web Hosting Reviews to find which company is the best for your website. You can even read about the advantages and disadvantages of each type. Each and every company has something unique and special to offer and have different qualities, features, and options as well. After knowing how much disk space, bandwidth, and what type of website your site is going to be, you will be able to find the best solution that will meet all of your needs.

For example for one of the reviews, the HostMonster Review has aspects covered such as reliability (5/5), price value (5/5), control panel (5/5), customer support (5/5), and overall value (5/5). Based on all of this and for what HostMonster offers, I would have to recommend it as being one of the best possible places to host your website.
