Yesterday, someone by the name of John Motson, created a site called MysteryDomainAuction.com, which he plans to reveal a domain name at day 50 of a 100 day auction, that is supposedly valued at $10,000. The highest bidder at the time of the auction ending will win the domain name. Until then… you can bid in $0.01 increments if you’d like.. but any bids made now are completely useless in my opinion, since only the high bid wins.
I have plans myself in creating a site similar, but for sites instead of domains. The site is already being developed and will be including several more features and prizes. Stay tuned! If you have any ideas, suggestions, or advice for it, please feel free to let me know.
